How to Download New Android Apps

New Android apps are available in the marketplace. You can choose from free application or applications that come with subscriptions and fee. If you are choosing from the latter, you need to create an account with Google Checkout. You can visit the website for detailed instructions on how to create your Checkout account.

To download new applications, visit the Android marketplace. On your device, click on the home button and then choose 'Market'. If you are new to Android, you will have to agree to the terms and conditions before you can proceed and access the marketplace. Once you are in the marketplace, you can now browse through the applications typically organized by category.

You can apply appropriate filters to make it easier for you to search through the apps. To have an idea of what the apps can do for you, tap the icon and it will show you relevant information for preview. You may also want to access reviews of the apps prior to deciding what to purchase or install.

When you have decided in favor of the apps you are previewing, you only need to hit the button that says “Buy” or “Install” to start the download. This action will verify and confirm your information, and then proceed to download and install the apps to your Android device. If you purchase the new Android apps to download, you will receive the acknowledgment receipt in your email.
